Distinction Homes - A Brief Introduction

At Distinction Homes we aim to provide a personalised building experience. We do not intend to be a mass project builder but rather to concentrate on building a relatively small number of high quality, well built homes in the $450,000 to $2,000,000 prestige range.

Whether you would like to build one of our great range of standard plans, have ideas of your own for our designer to work with, or if you have your own plans, we can help you. It is important that your new home suits your individual style, your needs and your lifestyle. It has to be a joy to drive up to and a pleasure to live in. We believe that we can help you to attain that.

Our successful formula to date has resulted in numerous awards (see our Awards section for further details) and satisfied clients, who have commented on the quality of workmanship and on our relatively short building time. We are proud of these compliments and intend to work hard to produce the right product in a timely fashion for all of our clients.

Nigel Byrd is our Managing Director, he is a Registered Builder with over 25 years experience as a principal builder. He has built well over 1000 homes as well as completed numerous commercial projects. Nigel's Kalgoorlie building business, Goldfields Homes has been the local leader in that market for the last two decades and has won over 60 MBA Building Excellence Awards as well as numerous special awards for a wide variety of projects. Nigel brings enormous management and building experience to our company. He personally supervises the construction of all Distinction Homes and is directly available to all of our clients throughout the construction process.

Lionel Spanoghe is our in-house Senior Designer / Draftsman. Lionel has 15 years experience and joined us having worked with National Homes, Stratawise and Ross Griffin Homes. His European background influences the styling of his designs while he is very conscious of working with our Western Australian climate and site conditions. Lionel's knowledge of construction also enables him to get the best out of difficult sites. Lionel enjoys transforming your ideas into something beautiful, practical and workable.

We are extremely proud of the magnificent homes that we produce. Being fairly new to the Perth scene, we are keen to build an excellent reputation. We believe that we have the staff, the subcontract teams and the building programs required to please you in the construction of your new home.
